E3948: Stanford Polymer Collectives in Splash Fall 2014 (Nov. 08 - 09, 2014)
Polymers are fascinating materials that can be found almost everywhere in our daily lives. These macromolecules have many repeating subunits that form long chains and networks. From the skin on our bones to the plastics we buy at the store, polymers come in all shapes and sizes. In this short course, we'll learn about polymers through fun hands-on activities that highlight some of their most important properties. We will teach the students the different applications and basic concepts of polymer science.

Come learn the most up-to-date Korean slangs used in everyday life and get a taste of Korean insider joke. Be more ambitious, and make your own creative Korean slang, too! The main goal of this class is to understand the origin and the context of different usages of Korean slangs in the modern Korean pop culture.
