P4045: Plate Tectonics: What is happening beneath our feet? in Splash Fall 2014 (Nov. 08 - 09, 2014)
Plate tectonics is the unifying theory of the geosciences. This course will examine the lines of evidence which led to the development of this theory, what it actually means, and its profound implications. The course will also touch on some of the exciting current topics in the earth sciences and the tremendous amount of career opportunities for students in this field, including the quest for the world's natural resources! It is not too often you get to study and work outdoors for a living. Come prepared to see beautiful pictures from around the planet!
