Brief Biographical Sketch:
Hello! I'm Conner and I'm a second year law student here at Stanford. I came to law school because I was a debater in high-school and college and decided to make it my career. Over the past few years, I've studied cryptocurrencies and have been blown away by their potential to change the world. I have a wide range of interests from economics, philosophy and political science, to computer science, cryptography, and gaming! In this lecture, we will cover what bitcoin is, how bitcoin works, and why it is so important as a technological development.
To do this, we will give real world examples of Bitcoin usage, and look at similarities of Bitcoin with other types of world changing technologies (i.e. the printing press, electricity, and the internet).
