Learn how to read and write Korean alphabet (Hangul). You would be able to read and write basic words and phrases at the end of the class. This course is recommended to students with no prior experiences in Korean.

S1086: Understanding Korean Culture: Food in Splash! Fall 2010 (Nov. 13 - 14, 2010)
This course is designed to help students understand Korean culture by tasting decent Korean food and watching the the movie, "Le Grand Chef." In addition, students will participate in the discussion eagerly and express their opinions. - Synopsis: "Le Grand Chef" Based on the best-selling comic book LE GRAND CHEF follows two aspiring chefs in a national cooking competition, organized to find the true heir of the last Korean Royal Chef of the Chosun Dynasty. The winner will receive the Royal Chef Famous Knife. The film promises food preparation and presentation much in the spirit of Jewel in the Palace.
