Brief Biographical Sketch:

I did my undergraduate work at MIT in theoretical mathematics, but now am pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science here at Stanford.

Quite unreleated to either endeavor is my interest in philosophy of language, and I love teaching. I have taught ESP courses to middle-schoolers and high-schoolers (at MIT), and am currently lecturing a graduate class here at Stanford.

At other times, I enjoy climbing, running, and photography.

R2015: Paradoxes in Splash! Spring 2012 (Apr. 21 - 22, 2012)
What is a paradox? Historically, many paradoxes have puzzled logicians, philosophers and mathematicians alike. Famous and interesting paradoxes in logic and philosophy will be introduced, along with some tools and background material to resolve them. We will focus on topics that lend themselves to rigorous logical analysis (or at least attempts thereof. This rules out discussions of religion, morality, ethics, et cetera.) Possible topics are: Prisoner's Dilemma, Paradox of the Heap, Expectation, Knowledge and Surprise, Raven's Paradox, Liar's Paradox, Presuppositions.
