Brief Biographical Sketch:
Hi everyone! My name is Kyle Enriquez. First I would like to say that I have attended SPLASH! at MIT for the past four years. (I am sorry Stanford. I assure you, it was a geographical thing.) I am thrilled to be able to give back what SPLASH! has given me, by joining this year's Admin team. I am currently a freshman at Stanford looking to major in Biochemistry. My passions lie in research, service to others, music, and the Jump Street movies. I am fairly active in the Stanford community, open to new ideas, and absolutely thrilled that I will be teaching multiple classes with some of my best friends from just my short time here at Stanford. I have completed several research projects, some of which are still being pursued by scientist around the world. Volunteerism is a huge part of my life. Through my work both in science and in service, I have learned the leadership principles that lead to success. If you have any questions, comments, etc. feel free to reach out and email me at kenriqz@stanford.edu. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible and be as helpful as I am able. Three different High School International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) participants, in fields ranging from Biochemistry to Energy to Nanomaterials share their perspectives on research, how to get involved, and how to make your work meaningful. Each will also provide an overview of their own project. The session as a whole will allow students to not only learn about research, but perhaps think of some ideas of their own.
A5534: Drumming 100! in Splash Spring 2017 (Apr. 22 - 23, 2017)
Is your life comsumed by beating on your desk with pencils or fingers? Want to put those skills to use? Sign up for this class, where I will hook you up with a set of sticks for the hour, and teach you how to use them. The goal is to introduce you to drums, drumming, and some skills to practice as you move forward in your drumming careers, whether that be drumming for a band, or tapping your fingers through a math test. All skill levels accepted!
