Brief Biographical Sketch:
Lauren is a 2nd year graduate student in Developmental Psychology at UC Santa Cruz. Her research explores the role of discourse in the development of sense of self and relationship. Currently, she is studying how humor might facilitate identity management in conversations between friends. Sampling from several subfields of the discipline, we'll address questions such as: How do we improve our memory? How do parenting practices impact child behavior? What hinders and helps romantic relationships? Feel free to bring your own questions about what psychologists have found or what they do.
