Brief Biographical Sketch:
Mia Grace Davis is an undergraduate student at Stanford University studying English. She is a 2023 National YoungArts Finalist in Writing and a U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts Semifinalist. What separates poetry from prose—and vice versa? Is there a hard and fast differentiation between the two, or do they seep into one another? In this workshop, we will primarily be observing the prose poem, exploring how the two forms work together in conversation rather than contrast. By the end of the workshop, we will have our own prose poems, teeming with the intricate wonders of both genres.
