R2940: Korean Urban Dictionary in Splash! Spring 2013 (Apr. 13 - 14, 2013)
How would you say 'swag,' or ' that's sick' in Korean? Ever wondered what your Korean friends ramble about in facebook news feeds, or how K-pop stars in Korean television shows crack people up? Come learn the most up-to-date Korean slangs used in everyday life and get a taste of Korean insider joke. Be more ambitious, and make your own creative Korean slang, too! The main goal of this class is to understand the origin and the context of different usages of Korean slangs in the modern Korean pop culture.


R2129: Korean Beginner in Splash! Spring 2012 (Apr. 21 - 22, 2012)
Learn how to read and write Korean alphabet (Hangul). You would be able to read and write basic words and phrases at the end of the class. This course is recommended to students with no prior experiences in Korean.

Learn usual Korean expressions through the Korean dramas. You would be able to make basic conversation in Korean at the end of the class. This course is recommended to students with any prior experiences in Korean.
