Brief Biographical Sketch:
I feel there is no cooler topic than neuroscience and there's no cooler place to study it than Stanford. For this reason, I feel it was worth the trouble of moving to the America from India when I was in middle school. I was born and brought up in Mumbai, the NYC of India. My family moved to Milwaukee in 1998 and we settled there. In high school I got my first exposure to neuroscience and immediately became mesmerized by the field. I decided to continue my exploration of this topic as an undergraduate at Northwestern University. Taking advanced neuro courses and performing research for 3 years cemented my desire to pursue a doctorate in neuroscience. I hope to make a valuable contribution to our understanding of the brain, and in the process want to inspire others to similarly follow their own passions.
